Our Impact

2025 Impact Report

We are incredibly fortunate to be supported by such a kind and generous community. From fundraising and grant support to the time, ideas and commitment so many people give, this collective effort makes our work possible.

In 2025, Mosaic was supported by a team of 8 staff, alongside 54 volunteers, 22 counsellors and 8 trustees. Together, they helped us deliver vital support to bereaved children, young people and families across Dorset.

Throughout the year, we ran 8 activity days attended by 169 children, hosted 38 bereavement cafés, and worked within 127 schools. These services provided safe spaces for children and families to connect, share experiences and receive support.

Our counselling provision continued to play a central role in our work. In 2025, 412 children accessed specialist support, with a total of 1,907 hours of one-to-one counselling delivered.

The generosity of our community was equally remarkable. A total of £82,000 was raised through community fundraising, supported by 82 funders who helped sustain and grow our services.

Mosaic’s 2025 Impact Report demonstrates just how invaluable our services are to bereaved children, young people and their families. Our counselling sessions and activity days, the backbone of our support, continue to flourish, while our Bereavement Cafés have grown in popularity, encouraging us to expand these further in 2026.

We are now reaching almost half of Dorset’s schools, but our ambition is to support many more. With demand for bereavement counselling continuing to rise, we are planning to recruit additional dedicated counsellors to meet this need. Our incredible volunteers bring a wealth of experience and commitment – we simply could not achieve what we do without them.

As we look ahead, 2026 promises to be another strong year for Mosaic, and we remain committed to fundraising tirelessly to ensure that no bereaved child or young person who needs us is ever turned away.
