About our Volunteers

Some of our volunteers have been with Mosaic for over a decade...
Our team of volunteers come from all over Dorset, Lyme Regis to Christchurch, from young people who have experienced Mosaic support and grown-up to offer their time to Mosaic helping others, to adults, teachers, doctors, retired people, crafters, knitters, keep-fit fanatics and families, everyone is welcome!

About our Volunteers

We have a wonderful team of volunteers who give their time and energy supporting Mosaic events. Volunteering with Mosaic can involve: supporting families at a residential weekend or activity day helping our fundraising team at an event coming into the office to support with some administration.

Rob has been volunteering with Mosaic since 2012

"I have attended 11 residential weekends over the years and most other sorts of family and fundraising events.

The best moments have been seeing how the children make connections at residential weekends.

They often start a weekend very unsure and it's great to see them make friends and learn to be more comfortable with their story and finding common ground with people."

Cara began volunteering with Mosaic in 2013

"I have supported various fundraising events and been part of Sailing Days, Picnics, Family fun days, activity days, Christmas parties (yes that’s me dressed as Santa’s helper) and of course the Residential weekends.

I think, as a volunteer the highlight is always being part of the residential weekend. Seeing how much the children gain from this experience and learning the skills to be able to move forward with their lives is priceless.

I have made so many great friends too as we all become one big happy family.

If anyone is hesitant about becoming a volunteer then all I would say is don’t be, take the leap and be a part of something very special you won’t regret it."
