Early Years - Supporting Bereaved Pre-School Children

A workshop to assist childcare workers to develop an understanding of the impact that death has upon a pre-school child, and to develop skills, knowledge and confidence when supporting them.
Learning Outcomes
To develop a basic understanding of the impact of loss and grief on a young child's development
To gain an insight into a young child's understanding of death
To consider how to best meet the needs of young children affected by the death of someone close to them
To recognise the importance of developing positive relationships with young children and their families
To consider appropriate ways to support pre-school children
This workshop is suitable for individuals who have previously attended our 'Introduction to Child Bereavement' workshop or have attended a similar level of bereavement training.

Kindly funded by Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust. Places are limited to 2 per organisation, per workshop and to 2 workshops per person. Further places can be booked at a cost of £85 per person.
