Fundraising

Mosaic events help support the vital work we do with families in Dorset...
Fundraising for Mosaic not only raises money, but awareness of the work we do.

Help Us to Fundraise

Help us raise the essential funds needed so we can continue to support families in Dorset

Our fundraising is usually designed to be sociable and fun, and is vital in contributing to the Residential Weekend programme, family activities and the day to day running costs of Mosaic.

The charity receives some Local Authority funding to support some children but this only amounts to 15% of the funding needed to run the charity.

All other money has to be raised through the following:
  • Children in Need
  • Charitable Trust grants & donations
  • Corporate sponsorship & support
  • Individual support
  • Donations from local clubs, such as the Lions & Rotary Clubs
  • Talks & presentations
  • Community & Corporate Fundraising (For more information, please contact us to request a corporate sponsorship pack)
Our events not only raise money, but awareness of the work we do. We pride ourselves in taking a gentle approach to fundraising and do not cold call or knock-on doors.

Challenge Yourself

Could you do something special for Mosaic?

Take on an Ultra Challenge

25 km, 50 km, or 100 km - Walk, Jog, or Run - As a Team or Individual. Are you a keen walker or runner looking for a challenge? Perhaps you want to get in shape and re-energise, or fundraise for a charity close to your heart? If so, these events are for you! Whether it’s along a stunning coastline, or on trails in the best of Britain’s countryside, your Ultra Challenge® will be unforgettable. Visit www.ultrachallenge.com to find out more and register.

Run a marathon

If you run long or short distances and would like to gain sponsorships for charity we would love to hear from you, we can even lend you running vests so that you can proudly show off who you are raising money for.

Experience the thrill of a bungee jump

A head for heights? Why not bungee jump 160ft from the Lloyds Amphitheatre building in Bristol for Mosaic. Visit www.ukbungee.co.uk for more details.

If running is not enough, get mucky too!

Off road running events can be great fun and extremely challenging but are definitely not for the faint-hearted! If you like running, jumping and getting muddy, The Steeplechase could be for you. Triathlons, cycle rides, mountain climbs, swimming the Channel, sponsored walks, horse rides … the list is endless! Give us a call to discuss your idea.

Community Events

There are lots of ways to fundraise with your family and friends and have a great time in the process.

Coffee Morning

Coffee, cakes and a group of friends. What could be simpler?

Open-garden and afternoon tea

If you are proud of your garden in bloom, invite friends and neighbours to take a look around and stay for tea with proceeds donated to Mosaic.

Car Boot Sale

It is so refreshing having a big tidy up. If you would like to sell your unwanted plates, pots, pans and toys and support Mosaic - please think about a car boot sale or selling online and donating a percentage to Mosaic.

Clothes Exchange

We all have items lurking in our wardrobes, worn only once or still with their tags still on. You don’t need Gok Wan to host your own clothes exchange.

Invite the girls round and swap those sale bargain mistakes. Donations made from the swaps will be put to good use by Mosaic!

Sell unwanted items on Ebay for charity

Mosaic can receive a donation from items you sell on Ebay. Just decide on the percentage of the sale price that you wish to donate, and it will be paid directly to us. Gift Aid can even be added. Phone Mosaic or see www.ebay.co.uk for more details.

Finally, good luck and thank you for supporting us in whichever way you choose!
