'It's Complicated' - Mosaic Conference 2020

With 7 weeks to go until our conference, the countdown is now well and truly on! The theme for this year is 'It's Complicated' taking a focus on traumatic and complex grief and the impact this can have on children and young people. As we have seen an increase in the number of referrals received for causes of death such as suicide, road traffic collisions and murder, we thought this was the most appropriate topic to focus on for this year's event.

Delegates can expect to hear from fantastic guest speakers about their own experiences of grief and how traumatic grief can be exacerbated by the digital age that we live in. Workshops range from looking at the emotions, feelings and behaviours experienced and expressed by children and young people, through to emotional first aid and working with children in a contained and structured way. We are so fortunate to have such an experienced and engaging line-up and we are so excited to see them all in action.

Unexpected Places, a theatre group from Hampshire, have recently been added to the schedule. They have worked with Hampshire-based charity, Simon Says, to develop a piece of theatre that looks at the language and experience of a bereavement using puppets. An engaging and inclusive piece, we are thrilled to have them joining us as part of our conference.

This event offers the opportunity to gain an understanding of the impact of traumatic and complex grief as well as skills to help you in helping children and young people. Not only that, but it provides the space to network with other professionals, enabling you to share your own experiences and discover new ways of working.

Tickets for the event are £70 per person which includes lunch, refreshments and a delegate pack to take away. For full details and to reserve your space, visit conference.mosaicfamilysupport.org
